HODGKINSON

A century of wine, written by the land.

"We do not make wine. We listen to a place — its silence, its sunlight, its stone — and quietly translate it into something you can pour."

Our Story

Four generations, one valley.

The Hodgkinson estate began in 1924 when our great-grandfather, a quiet man with rough hands, traded a sailboat for fifteen hectares of stone and vine on the Mediterranean coast. He believed wine was less an industry than a long, slow conversation with the soil.

A hundred years later, we still farm those original parcels — the same gnarled Garnacha vines, the same chalky soil, the same dry wind that arrives every August like a guest who never knocks.

What has changed is everything around them. We farm organically, harvest by hand, and ferment in small open vats with native yeasts. Nothing is added that wasn't already there in the fruit.

The result is wine that tastes unmistakably of where it comes from — wines of place, of patience, and of a family that has chosen, generation after generation, to stay.

Organic Farming

Certified organic since 2008. We farm the way our great-grandfather did — with patience, compost, and trust.

Small Batches

Less than 18,000 bottles a year. Every barrel passes through the same hands, every season.

Hand Harvested

Every grape is picked by hand, sorted on a wooden table, and gently de-stemmed. Nothing is hurried.
